What is transpersonal counselling?
Also known as spiritual psychology, it is an area of psychology that integrates the spiritual and transcendent aspects of the human experience. It is acknowledged that the spiritual nature is an integral part of being a human being. There is a sense of a soul and even existence after death.
What is spiritual emergency?
Also called spiritual crisis, it is a state where the individual’s foundation of beliefs, identity, meaning and perceptions of reality goes through a drastic change due to spontaneous spiritual experiences. This can cause significant disruption to one’s psychological, social and job functioning. Counselling can assist in supporting you through this transition.
Dream Analysis
It is well-known that much of our unconscious mind drives our behaviour. Your unconscious mind expresses itself in dreams. Through dream analysis, you may be able to bring the unconscious to the conscious, gain insight into yourself and gain more control. There are many things we repress, which manifests in phobias, anxieties, depression and habits. Once they are brought to the surface, you will have more power over them. Dreams can also be inspirational and a problem solving resource. In fact, there are many types of dreams.
What is paranormal disturbance counselling?
If you have suffered or been disturbed by things that you cannot explain physically, such as occurrences in a haunted house, or you feel that you have been spiritually attacked. We can provide you with counseling to process any post trauma from this. If need be, we can refer you on to more specialized services if we cannot help you beyond counselling.
How many sessions would I need?
It all depends on the individual and how complex the problem is. If it’s just one issue and you just need to talk it through with someone, then one session could suffice. If there are multiple issues, which is the case with most people, then usually it’s 6 - 12 sessions and follow-ups over longer periods.
